My mom loves hydrangea so we wanted to see some on our trip to Japan. The one place in Kamakura is super famous, but mom said that it is crowded with tourist and you're pushed through in a line without really getting a chance to enjoy the beauty of the flowers. So we decided to ditch the famous/crowded place and try this park. Oh my... I almost don't want to write about since I don't want it to be too tourist-y. It's about an hour train ride from Tokyo station to Hashimoto station. From there you can take a bus or taxi to the park. We took the taxi there, but had an extremely hard time flagging down a taxi to go back so we had to catch the bus back to the train station. It was totally worth it though! There were so many different types of hydrangeas with cute names and we could take our time and stroll through the park.
