今年の母の日のプレゼントをレッドライトセラピーにしようと思ってたけど、マミーが好きじゃないっていうから。。。結局はチューリップとカードでお祝い。夜はアウヤングファミリーとディナー。

Got home from work and saw all the buzz about the solar eclipse. So I used a viewer I got when the Transit of Venus happened and WoW!!! I saw the sun looking like a gibbous moon! So I rushed to get a photo on my iPhone, but that failed... so I got my Sony camera out and BAM! I got a shot of it! I was so excited that my camera was able to capture such thing! 

Yay! I love cooking at home. I get to use all the ingredients I love! 家で料理するの大好き！だって自分の好きな材料で作れるもん！

今日のメニュー：水餃子（大豆、にら、人参、玉ねぎ、にんにく、生姜、キャベツ）、お味噌汁（大根、ケール）、キヌア（栄養酵母？かけ）、サラダ（水菜、梅ひじき）

Today's Dinner: Boiled Gyoza (soy protein, chives, carrots, onions, garlic, ginger, cabbage), Miso Soup (radish, kale), Quinoa topped with nutritional yeast, and Salad (mizuna, ume hijiki)

なんて可愛い姪！これからもすくすくと育って素敵な女の子になりますように。

I've never heard of お食い初め（おくいぞめ）before, but it's usually celebrated 100 days after a baby is born. They fake-feed the baby real food to signafy that the baby will eat lots of good food and grow up to be strong.
