So I've decided to do the 28-Day Challenge. It's no meat (including seafood), no dairy, no eggs, and no oils for 28-Days. Can I do it? *shrugs* I already have 4 cheat days put aside though. LoL.
今日から28日間、肉なし、乳製品なし、卵なし、油なしのデトックスに挑戦。できるかな?
Anyways, I went to the first meeting and got a bunch of paper work, but I won't be sharing them all with you here today. I'll do it in bits and pieces.
初日のミーティングでたくさん書類を貰ったけど、それをちょっとづつシェアしていきます。
Here's a video for the first day.

Let's just begin with saying, I'll never be vegan...because I love my desserts, cheese, and eggs. However, I feel doing a 28-day plant-based food challenge, is a great way to flush my system and look for alternatives. So, don't worry, after the 28 days, I'll still have my desserts, cheese, and eggs. (And I've already set aside 4 cheat days...MAH, friend's birthday dinner, and my 2 birthday dinner parties.)
Anyways, I was told to watch Forks Over Knives...and when they say knives, it's not the knife you cut food with, but the knife to cut PEOPLE open with for surgery. Here's the trailer.
So I watched it...and basically it was saying that people on plant-based diets don't need meds for their diseases...and even in some cases, they were able to reverse the signs of the diseases. Ok...now I'm still skeptical about the whole deal...but I'm thinking of giving it a shot anyways.
For myself, because I'm pescatarian (no meat except seafood, dairy, and eggs), I think this will be easier than someone that's a full on carnivore. And even then, I started to avoid keeping seafood, and dairy (milk, cheese, & yogurt) at home...so even more so, it'll hopefully not be too big of a jump for me.
The hardest part for me, will be the no eggs....and not being able to easily eat-out. Oh, and did I mention, the 28-day challenge makes me cut oil too...that's olive oil too!
The first meeting is tomorrow...and I'm a bit nervous.
This isn't the most flattering picture of myself, but I thought it'd be a nice change! LoL. Happy Lunar New Year, Happy Chinese New Year, Happy _____ Day! LoL.

I went to my first tweetup of the year, and I must say, I chose a great one! The presentation by Joyful Heart Foundation to introduce their One Strong Ohana campaign was short and informative. Perfect for a tweetup where tweeps just want to eat, drink, and talk story. I got to meet some new tweeps IRL and reconnect with old tweeps I haven't seen in awhile. I even got to meet the person behind the @WFMkahala account. She was totally cool, down to Earth, and just a really nice person to talk to. She even gave me the best news so far in the year! (I won't share it on here so if you want to know DM me on Twitter. LoL)
