Who's Shay?
Shay Shay, bilingual in English and Japanese, recently received her doctorate degree in education with a specialization in curriculum and instruction from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Her research was on English-Japanese dual language education. She received her Master in Education degree from Chaminade University in 2006. Shay has also completed her undergraduate degree at Keio University in Japan. She holds her Hawaii State Department of Education K-6 teacher’s license and currently teaches 3rd graders.
Shay enjoys exploring new restaurants, dancing, and taking pictures with her iPhone. She is also a black belt in karate and enjoys watching YouTube videos. Although most of her time is spent studying for her Japan licensure, she knows how to relax and have a good time with her friends playing Rock Band.
シェイシェイは日系二世の英語と日本語のバイリンガル。２０１２年の夏にハワイ大学院教育課程の博士号を取得。研究テーマは英語と日本語の二カ国語教育。修士号は2006年、ハワイのシャミナード大学院教育課程で取得。学士号は日本の慶応義塾大学環境情報学部を卒業。ハワイの小学校の教職免許ももち、現在小学３年生の教師。
シェイは新しいレストランに行ったり、踊ったり、iPhoneで写真を撮ることが好き。空手の初段も取得し、ユーチューブ観賞も好き。いつもは日本の教職免許の勉強で忙しい毎日だが、友達とRock Bandを楽しんだりしている。
